Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return. Q & A

Asked by Kirk Lamb from Namibia | July 31,2025 16:12
What’s the best way to carry money in Chengdu?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 31,2025 16:31
Cash is useful for small purchases (street food, snacks), but most restaurants, hotels, and larger shops accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard). ATMs are everywhere in Chengdu (airports, shopping areas, near hotels) and dispense RMB. We recommend bringing some cash (500–1000 RMB) for day trips, plus a card for bigger expenses. Our guide can help with ATM directions if needed!
Asked by Meredith from Cameroon | July 31,2025 15:39
Are there any must-try snacks in Chengdu that aren’t too spicy?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 31,2025 16:32
Chengdu’s street food is delicious—even mild options! Don’t miss: Jianbing guozi: A savory crepe with egg, scallions, and crispy crackers (mild). Laiwei noodles: Cold sesame noodles with a nutty sauce (ask for "no chili"). Tangyuan: Sweet glutinous rice balls in ginger syrup (dessert!). Our guide knows the best stalls in Kuanzhai Alleys and People’s Park—clean, popular with locals, and happy to adjust spice. You’ll eat like a local without worry!
Asked by Cathy Ella from Barbados | July 31,2025 15:20
What’s the difference between "Mount Qingcheng Front Mountain" and "Back Mountain"?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 31,2025 16:32
Front Mountain is the cultural heart—home to all the ancient Taoist temples, paved trails, and UNESCO sites. Back Mountain is wilder, with longer hikes and fewer temples (popular with serious hikers). For first-time visitors, Front Mountain offers the best mix of culture, scenery, and accessibility—you’ll see why it’s a World Heritage Site without the strenuous hiking of Back Mountain.
Asked by Jenny from Australia | July 31,2025 14:52
I love photography.
Are there specific times or spots at Mount Qingcheng or Dujiangyan that are best for photos?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 31,2025 16:33
Yes! For stunning shots: Mount Qingcheng: Early morning (8–10 AM) when mist curls around trees—Shangqing Palace with mountains in the background is iconic. The ferry ride offers reflections of ancient pavilions in calm streams. Dujiangyan: Late afternoon (4–5 PM) when sunlight hits the Fish Mouth structure, making the water glow. The Anlan Cable Bridge (red wooden planks) with the Min River behind it is a classic. Our itinerary leaves time for these golden hours—your guide will even suggest angles!
Asked by Leif Steele from Puerto Rico | July 31,2025 14:35
I’ve read that giant pandas are most active in the morning.
when do we visit the Chengdu Panda Base? Will we arrive early enough to see them eating bamboo or playing, rather than sleeping?
Answered by intotravelchina | July 31,2025 16:33
Absolutely! We visit the Panda Base first thing in the morning—typically between 8:00–8:30 AM. This aligns with their peak activity hours (pandas are most energetic before 10 AM, when they feed and play). The itinerary is timed to hit key areas like the Nursery and Adult Enclosures during this window, so you’ll likely see them munching bamboo, climbing trees, or interacting with each other. Our guide knows the best spots to wait for active behavior!
