Welcome to Shanghai, the city of prosperity. A metropolis that never sleeps, a city that has always been fascinating, nostalgic and modern, oriental and western at the same time.

Our professional tour guide will meet you at the airport arrival and transfer you to your hotel for rest.

The rest of the day is free time. If you want to wander around, you can find a tour guide and your guide will give you some good suggestions.

After breakfast, we will head to Yuyuan Garden. It has a typical Jiangnan garden style, reflecting the artistic style of the southern gardens of the Ming and Qing dynasties, which is "quiet and beautiful, delicate and exquisite". The nearby Yuyuan Bazaar is a great place to sample local cuisine and explore traditional Chinese handicrafts.

Next, we will drive to the Shanghai World Financial Center, known as the "Eye of Shanghai", which is 474 meters high. From its 100th floor, you will have a panoramic view of Shanghai's modernity and feel the city's prosperity and vitality.

In the afternoon, we will take you on a stroll along Nanjing Road, a shopping paradise that is not only perfect for shopping but also for experiencing the modern atmosphere of Shanghai. 

Afterwards, we'll head to the Bund, a former cargo transportation route that has been transformed into a bustling trade area. Here you will witness a perfect blend of Chinese and Western cultures while taking in the breathtaking skyline of Shanghai.

Idea for Evening Activities

Take a night cruise on the Huangpu River and enjoy the beauty of the city at night (about 50 minutes).

After breakfast, you will take the high-speed train to Suzhou.

First, you will visit the The Lingering Garden(Liu Yuan), one of the Four Great Gardens of China, which demonstrates a compact layout and a delicate decorative art.

Afterwards, take a stroll to Shantang Ancient Street which is a famous historical and cultural street in China. It was once one of the most developed neighborhoods for commerce and culture in China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a journey to explore Suzhou's Tiger Hill, which is a famous scenic spot with a long history of more than 2500 years. As Su Shi, a famous poet of the Song Dynasty (960-1279), said, "to visit Suzhou and not see Tiger Hill would lead to a lifetime of regret" 

The most prestigious attraction in Tiger Hill is the Yunyansi Pagoda, a seven-story pagoda that has stood for 1,000 years and has a leaning posture comparable to the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. In addition, there is also a Sword Pond, which is rumored to be the place where the King of Wu buried his treasured sword 2,500 years ago.

Afterwards, you will visit the Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory to witness the miraculous transformation of silk from silkworm to silk products.

Day 3: Shanghai-Suzhou

After breakfast, you will visit the Suzhou Museum. It showcases the city's cultural legacy through its impressive collection of artifacts and exhibits, providing visitors with a deeper understanding of Suzhou's artistic achievements.

In the afternoon, you will arrive in Tongli Water Town, which is a Jiangnan water town with a history of more than 1,000 years. Pretty and unsophisticated Tongli water town boasts fertile paddy fields rich resources and outstanding natives, thus crowned as"Small Oriental Venice". In addition to these sights, the food in Tongli is also very worth trying, such as salted duck eggs, sugar taro, etc.

In the evening, you will take the high-speed train and speed towards the Nanjing.


Day 4: Suzhou-Nanjing

After breakfast, you will proceed to the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, which is the mausoleum of Mr. Sun Yat-sen, the great forerunner of China's modern democratic revolution, and a place to witness the history of China's modern revolution. 

Then you will visit the Grand Baoen Temple of Nanjing. It was the second temple in China after the White Horse Temple in Luoyang, and the first Buddhist temple established in southern China.

In the afternoon, you will go to the Confucius Temple. which is one of the four major literary temples in China. There are not only many Confucian temple buildings but also a lively commercial area. After we visit the Confucius Temple, we can also taste the authentic Nanjing snacks and buy various cultural souvenirs.

In the evening, we will come to the Qinhuai River, an ancient and romantic river that has witnessed the prosperity and vicissitudes of Nanjing. You can walk along the river or take a cruise to visit the Qinhuai River, enjoying the ancient buildings on both sides and the beautiful night view.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return.
