Obtaining the travelling permission and other stuff
Hi there,
I would like to visit Tibet and the end of this month, but I am not sure how to get the necessary Travelling Permit, thus I am contacting you with a request for help. I am aware that I have to posses valid Chinese visa and passport and make scanned copies of these, but what is my next step after?
My plan is to get to Chengdu, stay a day or two there, then fly to Lhasa, spend 4-5 days in the city and in surrounding areas and then get back to Shanghai by plane.
Thanks in advance.

Hello!
1.For foreign tourists traveling to Tibet, applying for a Tibet Travel Permit through a travel agency is a mandatory requirement. After preparing scanned copies of your valid Chinese visa and passport, the next step is to provide us with your detailed itinerary (including duration of stay in Tibet, accommodation, and routes). Contact us at service@intotravelchina.com—we will assist in organizing materials and submitting them for review (usually taking 3–5 working days).
2.Your Chengdu–Lhasa–Shanghai itinerary is feasible. We can plan in-depth experiences for Lhasa city and surrounding areas (such as Namtso Lake and Yamdrok Lake), covering transportation connections, licensed vehicles, and carefully selected accommodation. We recommend reaching out early so our professional team can oversee permit applications and itinerary arrangements, ensuring a worry-free start to your Tibetan journey.
