Origin: Billion year Geology and Thousand year Humanities

Furong Ancient Town

The Power of the Primordial Era - The Carving History of the Earth
The formation of Enshi Grand Canyon is a geological epic spanning billions of years. The ancient marine sedimentation, intense crustal uplift, and billions of years of dissolution and cutting of the Qingjiang River system have collectively carved out this breathtaking canyon peak forest. Its core landscape, "Yi Zhu Xiang", is a slender stone pillar about 150 meters high, standing for thousands of years without collapsing, known as the treasure of town valleys and a rare karst stone pillar wonder in the world.

Humanistic imprints - Echoes of Bachu culture
This rugged land has been the habitat and breeding ground of the Ba and Tujia ancestors since ancient times. The remnants of ancient salt and plank roads in the canyon tell the story of the trade of "Sichuan salt entering Hunan". The surrounding Tujia villages, stilt houses, as well as the melodious dragon boat tune and lively hand waving dance, have injected fresh humanistic soul into this geological painting.

Natural Power - Encyclopedia of Karst Landforms
Enshi Grand Canyon gathers the essence of karst landform, and each step is a visual impact.
Cliff Peak Forest: The Backbone of the Earth
-A stick of incense: the symbol of the Grand Canyon. Among the peaks, a limestone pillar with a diameter of only 4 meters but a height of over 150 meters stands alone, soaring straight into the sky. When shrouded in clouds and mist, it is like a pillar of incense burning between heaven and earth, full of mystery and spirituality. Geologists call it a miracle of balance and resilience, as it cannot be blown down by the wind, moved by the rain, or broken by thunder.
-Cliff Corridor: A man-made boardwalk on a cliff, resembling a jade belt wrapped around the vertical waist of the cliff. Walking on it, with a deep abyss beneath your feet and a thousand foot cliff in front of you, the most direct way to experience the magnificence of the canyon is through the combination of thrilling excitement and infinite scenery.
-Bowing Pine: A pine tree growing in the crevices of a cliff, leaning forward as a whole to welcome guests, with a humble and polite posture, showcasing the tenacity of life and the etiquette of nature.
Deep Seam: The Wounds and Secrets of Earth
-Yunlong Ground Seam: Known as the 'most beautiful scar on Earth'. The total length is 3.6 kilometers, with an average depth of 75 meters, and the narrowest point only allows one person to pass through. The walls within the crevices stand tall and steep, with waterfalls cascading down like the Yunlong River Waterfall. The spring flows gently, and the vegetation is dense. The sunlight falls through the crevices, creating a dazzling light and shadow effect, like a secret passage to the center of the earth.
Dark River Sky Pit: Breath of the Underground World
-The towering peaks at the entrance of the building and the cliffs facing east showcase the majestic momentum of the peak clusters and rock pillars. The underground river system and scattered sinkholes (such as the Luyuanping sinkhole) reveal the power of water flow tirelessly shaping the terrain underground, making it suitable for exploration enthusiasts to explore (some areas require professional guidance).

Humanistic imprints - the charm hanging in time
Although nature is the protagonist, humanities embellish it, making it even more dynamic.
-Canyon Ancient Salt Road: The deep horseshoe prints on the stone steps record the arduous footsteps of salt workers and horse gangs during the Ming and Qing dynasties, serving as a living history textbook.
-Tujia style: Near the exit of the scenic area, you can taste authentic Tujia cuisine such as oil tea soup, kang potatoes, and mixed slag at the Yunlong River Wind and Rain Bridge and Tujia Market, and experience the splendor of Xilan Kapu (Tujia brocade).
-Live Theater of "Dragon Boat Tune" (Seasonal): Set against the natural backdrop of canyon cliffs, the classic Tujia folk song "Dragon Boat Tune" is performed as a love story, with grand scenes and a strong cultural atmosphere.

>Photography tips:
The best location for capturing morning mist and sunrise is at the cliff corridor or a incense burner observation deck;
The Yunlong ground seam is suitable for shooting "one line of sky" light columns under direct sunlight at noon;
Use a wide-angle lens to capture the grandeur of the peak forest, and a telephoto lens to compress the space and highlight the solitary fragrance of a stick;
Drones can capture panoramic views, but attention should be paid to the airflow and designated areas within the canyon.

- Air/high-speed rail: You can arrive at Enshi Xujiaping Airport or Enshi Station by plane or high-speed rail. Travel tip: Upon arrival, you can take a direct shuttle bus to the scenic area at Enshi Bus Station (about 1.5 hours), or book a charter/carpool service through us (more flexible).
- Self driving: navigate to "Enshi Grand Canyon Tourist Center", about a 1.5-hour drive from Enshi city center, with good road conditions. Travel tip: The parking lot in the scenic area has a large capacity and is convenient for parking.
- Surrounding Connection: Suitable for connecting with attractions such as Lichuan Tenglong Cave, Enshi Tusi City, and Suobu Ya Stone Forest for sightseeing. Travel tip: Charting a car is the best way to connect and play together.

Important return reminder: If taking the shuttle bus back to Enshi city, please pay attention to the last bus time (usually around 17:30). It is recommended to confirm in advance or book a return vehicle through us in advance.

Best Travel Time
Enshi Grand Canyon can be visited in all seasons.
- The best season in spring and autumn (April May, September November): mild climate, blooming mountain flowers or layered autumn colors, misty clouds, the most beautiful scenery, and the most comfortable hiking.
- Summer Vacation Season (June August): The canyon is cool and an excellent summer resort. But it is also the rainy season, so rain gear needs to be prepared, and some areas (such as ground joints) may be temporarily closed due to heavy rain.
- Winter quiet season (December to March): There are few tourists, but there are occasional snow scenes, and the silver wrapped plain is unique. But the weather is cold, the trail may be slippery, and some facilities may have shortened operating hours.

Accommodation Options
- Surrounding area of the scenic spot (preferred, convenient for sightseeing):
1. Hotels/homestays at the entrance of Mufu Town and scenic areas: a few minutes' drive from the tourist center, with a wide range of options, from economy to high-end. Some homestays offer views of the canyon mountain scenery. Suitable for tourists who wish to enter the park early the next morning.
2. Canyon Xuan Hotel (within the scenic area): Located in the Qixingzhai Scenic Area, it has an excellent location and offers the opportunity to enjoy an unmanned valley in the early morning. However, the price is relatively high and requires a long advance reservation.
- Accommodation in Enshi city area (with a wide range of options, suitable for late arrivals or multi attraction tours):
1. The hotels in the city have a complete range of levels and a wide selection of dining and entertainment options. But it takes nearly 3 hours by car to travel to and from the scenic area every day, which is suitable for tourists who do not pursue extreme efficiency or plan to visit other attractions in Enshi city.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return.
