Sanxingdui Museum, located in Guanghan, Sichuan, houses one of the 20th century’s greatest archaeological discoveries. Uncovered in 1986, the site reveals a lost Bronze Age civilization (c. 1200–1000 BCE) with unprecedented artistic and technological achievements. Covering 12 km², the museum displays over 1,000 artifacts, including giant bronze masks, gold scepters, and jade ritual objects, challenging conventional understanding of ancient Chinese history. Designated a UNESCO "Memory of the World" site in 2023, it offers a glimpse into the mysterious Shu culture that predated the Zhou Dynasty.
