Calculation method:
Starting point of time: The same starting point is the time when the border control authorities process the alien's entry, but the period of stay is longer.

Calculated duration: 144 consecutive hours, i.e. six consecutive days after entry.

Starting and ending time:
Starting time: 00:00 on the day following the day of entry.

End time: The time after 144 hours counted from zero hour on the day following the day of entry, i.e., the same time on the sixth day.

Example Explanation:
Suppose an applicant enters China and applies for a 144-hour transit visa waiver in City B, China, and the time of entry is August 1, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Then his 144-hour transit visa-free period will be calculated from 00:00 on August 2, 2024, i.e. from 0:00 on August 2, 2024 to 23:59 on August 7, 2024 will be the visa-free stay period. He must leave China or travel to his next destination within this time period.
