UK passport holder qualify for 240 hour transit visa?
Uk passport holder and journey is
UK - Hong Kong -Yunnan - Hong Kong - UK
it’s my mother’s dream to go to Yunnan but I don’t have enough time to get the visa … any idea if the above itinerary is eligible for the 240 hour visa ?

Sc, unfortunately, your itinerary is not eligible for 240 hour visa free transit because your trip is not a transit, but just a round trip from Hong Kong. The basic rule of 240 hour visa free transit states that the immediate points before and after mainland China have to be in two different countries or eligible territories (eligible territories are Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau). As you can see, your booth immediate points are in one territory - Hong Kong.
